Rhodium is the new silver

Monday, November 21st, 2011

Forget about silver and forget about gold. These days, rhodium is the metal of choice for cufflink designers. Popular designers such as Ravi Ratan often use rhodium to sculpt unique designs. Rhodium is a lot more durable than silver, so it can endure more wear and tear. This means that rhodium cufflinks will last longer than regular cufflinks. Rhodium is also easier to work with in the designing process, which is why so many designers use it to create novelty cufflinks.  Rhodium cufflinks also resemble sterling silver, because they look just as stunning and beautiful. However, you’ll spend a lot less on a pair of Rhodium Cufflinks than you would on a pair of sterling silver cufflinks. With today’s economy, it’s no wonder that rhodium cufflinks are so popular.

Lucky for you, we have an extensive collection of affordable rhodium cufflinks featuring designs from Ravi Ratan as well as other designers. Whether you want a classic and clean pair or a novelty pair instead, we have it in our inventory. Take a look at our collection of rhodium cufflinks and you’ll find what you’re looking for. From modern styles to letters and numbers, we have it all. You might even like these Silver Love Knot Cufflinks, which resemble the classic silk knot cufflink style of old. They are unique, clean and affordable — and they are also made from rhodium! Stock up on as many pairs of rhodium cufflinks as you wish, because we have plenty of styles and designs to choose from.

Lindsay Lohan Buys Cufflinks After Rehab

Saturday, November 6th, 2010

…..Or maybe those were handcuffs we were thinking of? But after a five week stint in rehab at the Betty Ford Center, Ms. Lohan did go on a shopping excursion in California, where she was possibly looking to revamp her look. We hope she will incorporate a more professional, sophisticated style into her wardrobe, and one that might include cufflinks.

But although Lindsay has been court ordered to stay in the rehab center until Jan. 3rd, 2011, she seems to be keeping herself busy with a new handbag line. Or at least we hope so. After failing her court-ordered drug test in September, she was sentenced to spend some serious time detoxing and getting her life together. So Justice was served this time, but will it happen again?

While she is in rehab, she will be working on a series of handbags for her 6126 company, according to Radar Online. Designer Paz Shakked, who has also designed for Dolce & Gabbana in the past, signed up to be Lohan’s Design Director, and she says that “everything is approved by Lindsay.” Welcome to Hollywood folks, where designers realize their dreams and further their ambitions within the comfortable walls of rehab:

So when she finally puts in her time, gets clean, and gets her professional life back in order, (which we’re hoping she does), hopefully we’ll see a healthier side of this young actress and designer. Everyone can blame the paparazzi, her family, the media, blah blah blah, for her decline to a drug addict, jail bird–but essentially it all falls on her. It’s her life and no one else can take the blame for its turmoil.

….But just in case she does fall back into the same seedy scene of her pre-rehab life, we’re recommending to her these Red Panic Button Cufflinks once she’s back in the “real world.”

Even if she doesn’t need to use them herself, at least it will let others know to watch out for her potentially crazy, sober antics. And also because you never know when one might need a panic button…

Karl Lagerfeld meets Cufflinks

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

While it’s true that Karl Lagerfeld canceled his runway show in Paris, things are still looking up for fashion. Instead of the un-ornamented, somber styles that we have been seeing over the last few years at Fashion Week (undoubtedly to reflect the state of our economy), we’re seeing more color on the runways, coupled with a nostalgic air of past eras.

Vogue recently featured a spread for their 2010 September issue inspired by a sophisticated Mad Men look.

Mad but stylish men: Inspired by the cast of the hit 60s-based show, we take a look at the returning fashion of the decade.

This 60’s era style is here for many decades to come and we love the slim-fitted suits, skinny ties (but please, not too skinny!), and these elegant Silver knot Cufflinks. Simplicity always wins (especially in a recession) and like Chanel, these cufflinks will never go out of style.

And for a slightly bolder look coupled with that antique feel, try these Midnight Star Cufflinks.

What better way to compliment the glamor of your fashionista lady then donning a navy colored suit with these intricately designed, silver plated, designer cufflinks. They are definitely symbolic of that “nod to the past,” but with a keen eye on the future. Not only will your lady love them, but we think fashion King Lagerfeld would definitely rock them. And if Coco was still around, she’d probably wear them too.

We especially like Dolce and Gabbana’s new line featuring a darker, more contemporary version of the Mad Men era, which would look great with these Rectangular Art Deco Cufflinks.
